The Daily Dish: tell us about your favourite home cooked dinner

We are looking for your quick, easy recipes for meals that can be pulled together in minutes using fridge and larder staples

As part of Food Month at The Irish Times, which kicks off on November 1st, we are inviting readers to tell us about their go-to family favourite recipes, simple dishes that they go back to again and again. Short on ingredients and big on flavour, these are the comfort foods, big warm hugs in a bow, that make us all feel better as winter sets in.

We don’t want complicated recipes using lots of ingredients; it’s the Wednesday night one-pot wonder we are looking for, rather than your dinner party showstopper.

We will be publishing a selection of the best at irishtimes.com at lunchtime each weekday in November. If you’d like to take part, please send us a short introduction about your dish (150-200 words) – tell us about it, why you like it, and how you came upon it – along with the ingredients and method for making it. Don’t forget to tell us how many it will serve. We will need a photograph too, so make your dish as appetising as you can and take a snap on your phone or camera.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 1st.
